With Heart of Business, Mark Silver brings together business and spirituality. Mark’s company works specifically with small businesses who are trying to make a difference in the world and who need to make a profit, helping clients develop and market their businesses by integrating spirituality and integrity with no-nonsense business practices. His Business Oasis is a membership site where he offers further assistance and resources for a whole community of his clients.
Mark and I are friends and collegues and have been working together for quite some time. When we began to partner on Heart of Business, he had already built and coded his own website. I helped him reorganize his site structure and navigation and refine his visual design. I also recoded his entire site in modern web standard practices. Being that Mark understood some web code, I further trained him in (x)HTML and taught him the ins-and-outs of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). Now he not only manages his own content, but is fully capable of coding his own site.
With The Business Oasis, Mark asked me to customize a number of things in both the membership management and the community forum. I continue to be consulted on the best strategies, integration and solutions for the growth of The Oasis. And being a member myself, I’m often available to answer questions about any number of website-related topics.
