Susan and Barbara are highly regarded Reiki practitioners, teachers and editors of Reiki Magazine International. Their website, Reiki Healing Arts, is a resource for learning about, healing with and training in Reiki.
Susan and Barbara had a website when they phoned me. But like many people who contact me, it was not being utilized. Basically, they had a poorly designed brochure site that did very little for their business. They couldn’t track that any clients or students came throught their website. It served more as a placeholder for contacting them. And, they had no way of managing their own content.
Since they really wanted their website to help them grow and sustain their business, we made that a focal point of the whole project. We started with their business objectives and how they would translate to their website. Up-to-date information was important to them so we made sure that they could manage and edit their own content on every page. We also paid close attention to meeting the needs of their audience through the information and contact methods on the site.
The results were beyond their expectations. Now, not only did they have a live, working attractive website. They could also edit their content at will, which has allowed them great freedom in communicating with past, present and future students and clients.
What Dawud says is true: our website really works. Why? Because Dawud is skillful. He knows how the power of the web can help build a small business. He’s an attentive listener—hearing our needs and easily translating them into the medium. On top of that, the man is patient and can teach anybody. He led two foot-dragging, techno-phobic, middle-aged ladies to website independence. We’re now sending out a monthly ezine through aWeber, editing our site, and putting up web pages by ourselves.
