The problem is mindshare

My blog is one of the only blogs with some attempt at can-spam compliance for their email subscribers to feeds and comments.

It would be possible to create demand with scare tactics and a marketing budget.

Maybe one of these days I will bend the ear of Simon Grabowski of Getresponse to do something, but as with many things, it would help if I had a little more influence / mindshare first… hence the blogging.

I actually have much more profitable business ideas that I still want to fulfil.

I’ve been using Aweber for my feed list since I already have an account with them. But I’ve not been happy with their feed service – delays, dupes, and NO reporting to FeedBurner that I’ve found.

I might have to agree with you on the perfect system not being developed yet. Business idea???

I looked at Feedblitz but didn’t want to spend lots of time trying to make their emails look pretty.

All they provide is a daily digest so it works well.

You could also use Aweber, but I am not sure they report stats to Feedburner, but then there are other advantages such as offering bonuses not possible with Feedburner or Feedblitz.

To my mind the perfect system hasn’t been created yet.

So true. And the only heavy lifting I’ve had to do is with redirect 301. Everything else is a bunch of little chores and changes.
