Now I don’t like to put words in people’s mouths, but you should answer this question with a big ‘yes!’
Why? Because to get more clients and grow your practice you need to be where the people in your target audience are. If you consider that Twitter has more than 190 million registered users and Facebook has more than 500 million (1 in every 12 humans), it should be obvious that your target audience is spending their time on Twitter and Facebook.
The magic of social media is two-fold.
First, you can connect directly with prospects and customers without anyone in between. You have a chance to build relationships with real people who really want your services and products.
Second, it’s free. There’s absolutely no cost to use Facebook and Twitter and build a huge following. Forget SEO and buying ads. Social media marketing bypasses having to spend more money to get more clients.
And while those numbers are staggering, you don’t need to interact with 100 million people. You don’t need to interact with 1 million or 10,000 or even 1,000 people to find new clients through Twitter and Facebook. All you need to do is reach a few handfuls of people who need what you offer.Â
But how do you reach them? How do you wade through all the distractions, overwhelm and confusion to actually find those few handfuls of people who want what you have? And once you do reach them, how do you stay in touch with them until they’re ready to buy your services?
The truth is that it’s not that hard.
No, really, it’s not. Looking from the outside, it may seem like it is. You may look at Twitter and have no idea what it even is let alone how to use it. And Facebook may just seem like a great place to waste gobs of time.
But if we peel back the technology and the hype what are we left with? Simple: ways to connect with people! That’s it. Twitter and Facebook give us ways to connect with people. And since we’re talking about business, ideally, we’re wanting to connect with people who want our products and services. So when we simplify what Facebook and Twitter are we can see that they’re ways to connect with prospects and future clients.
That’s all Twitter is – a tool to connect with people. Same with Facebook. They both provide you with a simple and easy way to stay in touch with people who you have mutual interest with. Family, friends, colleagues and peers. And…leads, prospects and clients. You simply use Twitter and Facebook to connect with people, engage them in conversations, and develop relationships that grow your business.
There, I’ve just told you what all social media ‘experts’ don’t want you to know:
Twitter and Facebook are merely an extension – an evolution, if you will – of the same principles humans have used for centuries to promote and sell their offerings – relationships. Only now, with the internet, you can connect with people, have conversations and develop relationships with anyone from anywhere on the globe. Are you starting to see how powerful – and important – Twitter and Facebook can be to your business?
Now you know the secret that makes social media such a powerful tool. Twitter and Facebook are simply provide platforms that allow you to connect with people and build relationships. And that’s exactly the same method used to grow any client-based business. What’s new is the technology, not what you do to get more clients. And that’s the secret!Â
If that’s the case, why is it so difficult to use Twitter and Facebook and get results?
Honestly, it’s because of the distractions, the overwhelm and the focus on the technology. Both Twitter and Facebook have a very loose structure to them. In some aspects each can sort of be molded into whatever you want them to be. So to be successful, you must approach both Facebook and Twitter with a solid structure and a clear plan. Because of the sheer volume of information flowing through both of these services, it’s nearly impossible to gain from them without having a clear plan and structure to approach them with.

Basically, I remove all the mystery around what Twitter is and how to use it. - Week 4: Facebook, Beyond Getting Started.
Learn how to not waste time in Facebook, how to find people who are into what you’re into, how to create a useful, magnetic space for people to visit and how to use pages and groups effectively. - Week 5: The Social Media Marketing Plan
The title sounds way more complex than it is. Basically, we setup your own weekly marketing plan with actions steps for both Facebook and Twitter. Our goal is to give you a clear plan for taking ongoing action to build your following and get more clients. - Week 6: Closing
Not the close of the program, though that’s appropriate too. How to close the people you engage in Facebook and Twitter. How to recognize opportunities that will get you clients and increase your business. This is topic alone is seldom ever taught in social media realms. Knowing when and how to close is what makes all the Tweets and Status Updates worthwhile.Â
So let’s talk about the details
If I was going to coach you one-on-one for 6 weeks it would cost somewhere around $1200. My monthly coaching packages usually begin at $750/month and go up from there.
A one-hour mentoring and strategy session with me is $225.
So what would be a good price for 6 group coaching sessions, recordings of each call, copies of my notes and access to valuable resources, a 30 minute one-on-one coaching call AND unlimited questions and answers? Would $650 be too much? Certainly not.
But I’m not going to charge $650 for the Social Media Mentoring Program. Nor am I going to charge $450.Â
