The news of the violence at Virginia Tech yesterday is still fresh on my heart this morning. In honor of those who have died and been injured I’m taking a day of silence. So no other other post today.
Instead, I’m taking the time I would write a post to reflect on, contemplate about and pray for the families, hearts and souls that have been hurt by these…heinous events.
Be back tomorrow, God Willing.

Thank you, Dawud.
For anyone who it would serve…I’m holding 2 free calls this week so that we can question the painful beliefs about what’s happened at Virginia Tech.
Everyone is welcome:

The tragedy of this event is numbing. As the names of the victims are released, many in our community are feeling the pain, feeling the relief, and realizing that events like this can happen in your town, your community and to your children – even if you live in a sleepy little town.
My heart breaks for all involved. More of my thoughts for VT are at my Casual Keystrokes site.

Yeah, where in your being to you put something like this? There are many things we can say and ask. But what intrigues me most is that no other developed country in the world has this problem with kids each other. Be it in schools or in the streets – we’ve got problem in this country that has reached epidemic proportions.
My prayers go out to everyone involved, directly or indirectly, with this tragety.

We had a really sweet call last night. A group of people dialed in who were ready to understand their thoughts about what’s happened at Virginia Tech.
Thoughts like:
– It shouldn’t have happened.
– I’m not strong enough to handle all the violence in the world.
– My children shouldn’t die.
– The world is a dangerous place.
I’m glad to be holding another call on Friday. Thank you for the kind words in support of my work, Dawud & Stuart.

Mona,
You’re so welcome, Mona. I love the work you do.
Sounds like the call was great. It’s always facinating to look at the beliefs that make up our suffering and fear.
