Dali-Lama.jpgThis little exercise has gone around in many different forms. Four questions – simple, to the point – that attempt to tell you something about your life. Is it real? Don’t know. But here it is…

Tibetan Personality Test

Even if you’ve taken it before, do it again. I’d love to hear what you find out about yourself. So please, take the test then come back and let’s talk about the results. I’ll post my results after the conversation begins – doing so beforehand might ruin the test for you.

I’m a sucker for these things — I enjoy them.

If it’s at all true (and I honestly doubt there’s much to it, or if the Dalai Lama had anything to do with it), then it’s interesting, at best.

Do I sound skeptical? Oh yeah. Anything with a “share this with x friends and you’ll get your wishes” always turns my stomach.

It was still worth the three minutes, just for the entertainment value though! 🙂

    Adam,

I’m usually not. A good friend sent this to me and I just couldn’t help but put it up and see if it created conversation. Thanks for join in.

Yeah, I know this didn’t come from the Dali Lama – seems like a marketing ploy, huh?

And knowing a few Tibetans, doesn’t seem like the set of questions/answers they’d be interested in.

Yet, as you said, a couple minutes of entertainment aren’t bad.

  3. Tobsy says

Of course some of them are definitely right.

But imagine me barking at people in the city. And when they ask me why, I tell them “The Dalai Lama told me to”.

Doesn’t exactly sound like me ;-).

I wasn’t able to download the test to my Mac computer once I was directed to the next (test) window.
Could you reformat the website to enable Mac access, please?

    Ian,

Odd that you can’t get it to work. I’m a Mac user and it works fine for me.

Also, I can’t make any changes to the site…it’s not mine. I simply linked to it. Sorry.

    Bob,

I had a listen to the music…. I don’t know what it is exactly but you’re right about the movie theme feel.

I’d try somebody like Ennio Morricone or Henry Mancini. Sounds very familiar though. That could just be because it’s similar to themes like “Tiffany’s” and “Gabriel’s Oboe” from The Mission.

Let us know if you find it.

P.S. I do agree that apart from being chain mail rubbish it was entertaining at the least.

love the music–are you sure it is from that album–was told it was on the once in a red moon and it wasn`t

  8. Agree Er Withted says

Ted is correct about the music. I knew I had it somewhere and all I could think of was what movie is this from. It ain’t. It IS Songs from a Secret Garden from the album called Songs from a Secret Garden by Secret Garden. It purdy.

I love to arrange music that I hear. I got the e-mail and was fascinated with the melody. I am nursing a broken elbow and have my arm in a cast so no piano for awhile, but I downloaded the tune so I’ll be ready. Love the minor tune that ends on a major note. Than you, Ted for identifying it!

    Hi

Thanks for the link. I am very into personality tests right now. I found this personality test and it actually did teach me a few things about myself. I am really glad there are Eastern ones out there. It’s excellent to have a diametrically opposed perspective.

I did try this one: http://www.personality.nu also. It was pretty good and quick to take anyway.

    Your blog design is cool!

    Take care
